ARMAND PEÑA

Armand Peña is a Miami based electronic music producer, DJ, sound engineer, and event creator whose career has been connected to house music for more than two decades.

His story has never been limited to one side of the industry. Peña has worked behind the decks, inside the studio, behind major events, and alongside artists and labels that helped shape different eras of electronic music. From Miami’s club scene to international dance floors, his career has been built around one constant: the music.

Coming out of Miami’s house music culture, Peña became part of a scene that was growing far beyond South Florida. His work as a DJ, producer, promoter, and creator led to projects including Rhythm Freak, Welcome to Miami, Electric Beach, and We R Miami, along with performances and events at some of Miami’s best-known nightlife destinations.

His music catalog reflects that same history.

Over the years, Peña has released original productions, collaborations, remixes, and compilation appearances through respected electronic music labels including Nervous Records, Subliminal Records, Sondos, Armada Music, Juicy Music, Steve Angello’s X imprint, and his own Rhythm Freak and Beta Rebels projects.

One of the defining collaborations in his catalog is “I Get Droned,” created with house music veteran Harry Romero and featuring the unmistakable voice of Roland Clark, released through Steve Angello’s X imprint.

Another major record in Peña’s catalog is “100% Pure Love” with Crystal Waters, bringing his production together with one of the most recognizable voices in dance music. The release has continued to appear across dance compilations, remixes, and digital platforms years after its original release.

Other standout records include “Se Va,” released through Sondos and Subliminal Records; “Everything” featuring Caitlin Rose, released through Subliminal and featured on Subliminal Miami 2020; “House It Up,” released through The Rhythm Freak; and “Tonight” featuring Kelly Davis, released on Subliminal Records.

His catalog also includes productions and remixes such as “Blow”, alongside Harry Romero, Alex Alicea, and Crystal Waters; “Real Talk,” “Hands in the Air” with Harry Romero; “Set Yourself Free,” “Deep in the Soul” featuring Alan T, “Airmail,” “Are You Ready,” “DJ Play That Funky Track,” “Saxs Man,” “Rocket Science,” and other releases that trace different periods of his development as a producer.

In 2025, Peña opened another chapter with “Generation X,” connecting the experience of his earlier career with the sound and perspective of where he is today.

His music has also appeared on compilations connected to some of house music’s most recognizable names and brands, including projects from Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Oscar G, Robbie Rivera, Nervous Records, Subliminal Records, and Armada Music.

But the Armand Peña story is about more than records.

For years, much of his work happened behind the scenes. Producing records. Engineering sound. Building events. Creating concepts. Working with artists. Helping move Miami’s electronic music culture forward while continuing to develop his own sound.

That history now becomes part of the next chapter.

Peña is bringing those years of experience back into focus while continuing to create from the perspective of someone who has lived through multiple generations of house and electronic music.
